Hirose House | Architect Gary Landin

constructivist fireplace wall

A wonderful example of early 70’s rustic modernism perched on a hillside, sited to take advantage of an expansive front range and city view.  Outside the use of wood and stone makes the home seem a natural extension of its setting. Inside, the use of glass further marries the home to its environment by inviting ample sunlight while highlighting the views of trees and sky.

Designed by Gary Landin of Crowther, Kruse, Landin & Associates. He graduated from Greeley High School and received his architecture degrees from the University of Colorado. In 1973, he was a founding member of Intergroup, Inc., now known as Intergroup Architects.

This original owner home is currently on the market for the first time and we hope the new owners will do very little to disturb this historic modern jewel. (Click the arrows in the upper right corner for the full size slide show)

Denver Mid-Century Homes For Sale | Week of Nov. 27, 2017

Here’s a sample of the Denver mid-century modern homes for sale that we located for our clients this week. In our current sellers’ market, we’ve found the holiday season is a good time to buy as competition seems to lessen.

For those selling a home, we continue to see that proper pricing is critical. Even though our market is starting to see signs of normalizing, buyers continue to be wary of homes that remain on the market for more than 30 days.

Schedule a showing if you’d like to see any of these homes, or contact us to have a conversation about your real estate needs.

80% of our transactions are historic modern and vintage mid-century homes. We’ve specialized in this niche market since 2002, developing extensive knowledge and deepening a lifelong personal appreciation for what makes them great! We have also been here for our clients through good markets and bad so we know how to protect you in our currently shifting market.

Please contact us to find out how you will benefit from our extensive catalog and in-depth knowledge of Metro Denver’s vintage mid-century and historic modern architecture!
